Motobatt battery
manufacturing date code check
On the lid of your Motobatt battery you will
see a stamped code of the manufacturing date.
It is a letter code where each letter corresponds to a number.
The format for the code is DDMMYY.
In newer batteries, it is apparently YYYYMMDD. Input your code to get the date.
You can also check the code from the table below.
Example, 6 characters:
Battery Manufacture Code KYIZCC would convert to 270811.
Manufacturing date would be 27.8.2011 (Sat, August 27, 2011).
So the battery would be 14 years, 1 month and 19 days old.
Example, 8 characters:
Battery Manufacture Code KIKNIZKM would convert to 20250823.
Manufacturing date would be 23.8.2025 (Sat, August 23, 2025).
So the battery would be 0 years, 1 month and 23 days old.
